I am a frequent guest here, and when I heard the property was under new ownership and the name had changed, I looked forward to seeing other improvements as well. I was impressed with the customer service and energy being put into the property. Seems like the new owners are working on making this motel affordable and accommodating. Thank you Update: the new owners are remodeling the rooms one by one. I'm impressed.
Not bad for the price. No bedbugs no roaches. Rooms are real big and come with king size bed. Microwave and refrigerator included. Parking for small trucks also. This is the hometown of Mark Twain..lol
The HSI is the perfect place to experience everything your Mother warned you about. Labeling it "Shady Acres 2023" would be an understatement, but the rooms are alright, the location is very close to downtown Hannibal, Mo and the Management (Mike) seems to be very customer oriented. Don't let any bad reviews deter you from staying here, but don't expect a five star hotel stay either. Its a much better place to stay than the Motel 6 or the Baymont Inn in Hannibal
They were amazing when our original rooms door stopped working and got us a new room. The location was a little noisy at night, but it's okay. My only recommendation would be to invest in a breakfast nook, but other than that, it was wonderful
Easy on the wallet, pet friendly motel. The first room was a "No smoking" room; however, after taking a step inside, I felt I'll (I have allergies). I informed the staff & they gave me a different room. The room had a microwave & mini fridge, desk, side chair, king bed with 4 pillows, 2 night stands & window A/C which was nice & cold. The room was a few doors down from the roadway, main level, but was a very quiet room. The room was clean.
